Since the pandemic brought all travel to a halt, you’re probably itching to jump on a plane and travel somewhere new and exotic. As far as I am concerned I am not ready yet but you can still plan.Travel isn’t just about the places you visit, it’s about the experiences you have along the way and the memories you gain from those experiences. So, if you’re not sure where to go or what to do when you’re able to travel again, take a look at these travel experiences you should have once it’s safe to do so.
Travel alone

Being comfortable in your own company is an essential life skill to have because you never know when you’ll need it. More than any other travel experience, traveling independently, going your own way, making your own choices, and accepting responsibility for them (especially when they go wrong) will help you develop as an individual. Enjoy your independence, face your solitude worries, make peace with your incessant feelings, doubt your own judgement (and existence), celebrate your successes, accept your failures, and move on. Continue to move forward. It’s all you. Expanding and growing. Getting to know who you are on a deeper level.
Travel in luxury
Now I usually stay in my lane and I try to find the most inexpensive route and I’m all about cheap flights and rides to the airport, but treating yourself to luxury travel will help you appreciate how incredible the world can be. Every form of transportation is man made and if it wasn’t for the brilliant minds of this earth, we’d still all be walking everywhere and many of us wouldn’t have had the chance to experience some of the wonders of our beautiful earth. So grab that airport limo, upgrade your plane ticket, enjoy the first class carriage of a train and enjoy the ride.
Sleep under the stars

Pack that tent and spend the evening under the clear, light-flecked backdrop of the night sky. Lay down on a camp bed, relax on the sand, find a comfortable patch of grass, and settle your eyes so that the vision you see before going to sleep and when you wake up is the vast, immensity of the sky, the earth, and the universe. It will make you feel small. And know that this planet and this life are not about you at that moment. Not by a long shot.
Immerse yourself in a new culture

Culture shock isn’t just a term for traveling to a new continent. It’s as if you’ve been slapped across the face with a powerful, cold slap. Culture shock is the polar opposite of what you’re used to. It’s a world where the roads are ten times broader and more exciting than anything you’ve ever seen, or where there are no roads at all. It’s where the energy comes and goes at will. It’s a place where the scenery encompasses you every time you see it, and where the people are different, stranger than anyone you’ve ever met. Find somewhere that will make you feel completely out of place yet welcome you at the same time to show you the true wonders of this world – how differently people live.
Although, I am not ready to take long journeys yet, all of these experiences are totally feasible on a local scale. So you can have your adventures and not go broke unless you want to. Which travel experiences appealed the most to you? Tell me about it in the comments.

Until our next rendezvous…
XOXO
