Tired of looking at that same beige wall? Yeah, me too! And since we are staying home a lot more than planned this year, you will notice how boring the decorating choices you’ve made or refused to make are. Maybe you are renting and can’t paint? Well that should not mean that you have to tolerate the blandness of beige. I am here to give you some ideas to spice up your life and transform your home into a showplace.
Your home is an expression of your personality and what you do with your home is up to you. There are many ways that you can help transform your home into something unique, so here are some ways to do just that.

Include Some Art Work
Artwork can add color, and it can also add personality to your space, regardless of the colors you pick or the type of artwork you go for. When picking artwork, try to find pieces that fit the space. It could be monochrome to go with your minimalistic approach, or you might want to mix and match styles from vintage to contemporary. Play around with artwork and display it in different formats depending on what you have to work within the space. You might find that some shades of color work well, but then some don’t. You might also want to make your own artwork, and this can be done in a variety of ways, whether that’s getting experimental with charcoal or following a Bob Ross tutorial. Test your creative skills to add something unique and personal to this space. This beginner’s guide to gouache is also worth doing.
Add Some Indoor Nature
Indoor nature is a great way of transforming a space because it makes the room feel alive. Whether it’s a small succulent or a standing cheese plant, there are lots of different plants and flowers worth having in and around your home. Think about the type of room you’re transforming, and what types of plants will thrive and survive within the conditions. For example, a plant in your living space is going to be different from one in the bathroom. The bathroom has a lot of moisture, and so you need to have a plan that’s going to be able to survive on all that moisture in the air. If you’re someone who finds it difficult to keep plants alive, then it’s worth considering buying plants that are virtually unkillable.
Embrace Natural Light
Embracing natural light is something important because no one wants to walk into a room that’s poorly lit, whether it’s through natural light or artificial lighting. Where you can, it’s essential to let the natural light pour in. There’s nothing more uplifting than sunlight, and if you’ve got the ability to let it shine through, then don’t let any blinds, curtains, or other bulky objects block it from coming in. There are also plenty of lighting options that can mimic lighting to look like daylight lighting, so use this too if needed.
Rearrange Furniture
One of the easiest ways to help transform your home is by rearranging the furniture. It sounds too simple, but sometimes the simplest of changes can make a huge difference. Try placing the furniture in different positions, and you might alter the look and feel of the room overall. It doesn’t cost you anything either, which is an added bonus!
Transforming a space in your home is the perfect thing to do, no matter what time of year it is. Have you started any transformation projects in your home? I’d love to read about them. Please tell me in the comments below so I can get inspired!

Until our next rendezvous…
