There are many things you can expect to get from a tour of the US, and everyone will have their own reasons for taking such a trip. But if you are like many others before you, at least one of the major things you will be excited for is the countryside. There’s no doubt about it – the USA certainly has a lot of beautiful and varied countryside, and no matter what part of the country you find yourself in, you can expect a great deal of stunning sights. But there are also some parts in particular which are especially good for natural beauty, with certain states being especially naturally beautiful too. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the top US states you might want to consider visiting for their stunning vistas.
Texas
There is plenty that might draw you to Texas. It might be the notable reputation of everything being bigger in Texas, for instance. Or maybe you are driven by a desire to see what is arguably one of the most traditional US culture points anywhere in the country. Maybe you have just heard good things about the Holiday Inn Dallas-Richardson and you want to see it for yourself. But there is also no doubting that Texas, for all its other charms, is also one of the most beautiful parts of the country for its countryside, and that is something you will want to consider as a main reason for going too. If nothing else, you will probably find the rolling deserts to be especially amazing, and a sight which you are unlikely to forget any time soon.
Utah
Utah might not be the first state you think of visiting, but for many reasons it is actually likely to be one that you remember forever. One thing you have to love about this state is that it does have some of the most beautiful natural sights anywhere in the country, and possibly even the world. If you are especially keen on hiking, there are few places in the US which are going to provide you with such a range of vistas as Utah, and it is certainly worth thinking about if you really want to get to grips with the kind of natural scenery which the USA has to offer. Utah is bound to be among the most beautiful parts of the world, so it’s well worth a visit.
Hawaii
Obviously enough, Hawaii is a particularly popular tourist destination, and one of the main reasons for that is that it has so much to offer in terms of its natural beauty. If you are looking for beautiful beaches and a glittering sea, then this is the part of the USA you want to visit most of all. That, coupled with the general relaxed atmosphere, means that you can expect Hawaii to be the kind of place you want to return to again and again. It’s certainly worth seeing at least once to see whether you agree with that.
Do you travel just for the scenery? What are your favorite US States for great views? Tell me all about it in the comments below, I’d like to know your list.

Until our next rendezvous…

John enjoys history, and I love scenic country sights. We tend to have a blend of activities when we travel.
Hello Anne! It sounds like you have a great plan enforced when you travel.
John and I early came to an agreement that we would NOT drive through mountains in the dark!
I thought Wyoming was beautiful. nice list. 🙂
Thank you for your addition to the list.
you’re welcome 🙂
Never been to Utah. Would love to see it. Totally agree about Texas and Hawaii. So much fun!
I can’t imagine ever leaving Texas behind. It’s that beautiful to me.
Vacation, maybe?
For sure. One of these days.
Utah is one of perfect places to visit if you want to hike. With Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce, and so many others. Plus Lake Powell, and Escalante. It’s also different than hiking in the Northeast with our massive amounts of trees and humidity.
I would love to explore more of the US.
I agree – all of these destinations have much natural beauty, esp. in their national parks. I am going back to Hawaii in a few months, and can’t wait!
That’s lovely! Have a wonderful trip!
It IS a beautiful and diverse country. Enjoy!
