In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “All About Me.”
I knew I wanted to start something but I had no idea what, and to narrow it down was an effort. I had suggestions thrown at me to start a beauty blog, a fashion blog, a political blog. I was overwhelmed by choice and because my interests are so varied, I couldn’t pick just one. So I decided on a lifestyle blog centered around my favorite place, New York.
The name of my blog was not easy for me to come up with either. Words are the hardest for me to arrange and I think that’s why I work so hard at trying to make them sound as perfect as I can to my ear through revision after revision.
I also wanted the title to reflect myself as well. It’s partly in English and French since that references with my heritage and grammatically incorrect, because I am most of the time when I try to speak French I fumble with the articles and gender. Mix all the ingredients, language, locale, and culture and you get, “Rendezvous En New York”, a blog that represents the mish mosh that is me and the place that I call home and how much I want you to enjoy it the way I do!
Until our next rendezvous..
nice!
Thank you very much, flatterer!
no worries 😉
I’m thrilled that you aren’t going to limit your blog to one subject. You are much too interesting to be limited that way.
You think I’m interesting ? I think I’m pretty boring actually but I love to cook, eat, shop, do new things and sometimes to my own detriment I have an opinion. I’m trying to figure out adding more things as I go and become a better writer. Thank you for the compliment Anne!
Yes, you are very interesting. I’d underscore it if I weren’t on my cell phone. Keep writing!
I will, thanks again.
I enjoy your blog very much and it has shown me that I do need to visit NY some day! I feel that you do a wonderful job of revealing sides of this city, that one generally doesn’t encounter in the media. I guess it is the “local” flavor that makes it special for me. Thanks Trudy!
Aaw, thank you! I want everyone to connect with the blog exactly in that way and to feel comfortable enough to throw out suggestions if you have heard I something that you aren’t able to get here to do, so we’d virtually do it together. I’m going to try to get out more in the next couple of months and hopefully if it works out as planned, you’ll know NYC like the back of your hand. I really appreciate your kind words.
Looking forward to those outings! Kind words for kind people!
I’m looking forward to your reactions to those posts, I’ll do my best!
