Why Solo Travel Is More Popular Than Ever

Solo travel is something that has become very popular in recent years, and the reason for this is because people are now realising more and more that if they wait around for other people to do things that they want to do with them, then they are never going to get it done, because you can’t force someone to have the same dreams that you do or to have the same passion around making it happen as you do, and this is especially true when it comes to travel.

For example, many people love the idea of traveling, but when it comes to the reality of it too many people just can’t afford it, and not only that, they perhaps don’t really have that much passion for it, although they may think it’s quite a fun thing to do once in a while.

Now that we have things like the internet enabling us to see other parts of the world through things like Instagram and Facebook it’s now making it easier for us to become inspired and want those things for ourselves and so we just go and do them.

So in this post, we’re going to share with you why solo travel is so popular and if you’ve been considering taking up solo travel then maybe this post will inspire you to do so.

It can be cheaper

When traveling solo, it can definitely be a good bit cheaper than traveling with other people. One of the important things to remember, however is that if you’re traveling solo and you’re doing things like tours or even booking a hotel there is often a surcharge for people who are traveling solo since they want to sell the room based on their occupancy that the room can actually hold, which is usually a minimum of 2 people.

However, things often balance out when it comes to things like transport, food and other areas that incur a lot of costs. When traveling so if you only have yourself to care for it then it can definitely be cheaper.

If you look at places like all-inclusive resorts or check out Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club Reviews, many times the price seems expensive until you realize it’s per person.

Solo Travel builds confidence

As amazing as solo travel is there’s no denying the fact that it is a very nerve-wracking experience the first time you do it. And there’s also still a bit of a taboo around going it alone, especially if you’re a woman since there are many more perceived dangers for women who travel on their own, and this can be quite an anxiety-inducing experience. So when you actually do start traveling on your own and realizing that you can do things on your own without other people and that you have to figure out things for yourself, such as how to set up a tent when you are camping on your own which is something that really builds your confidence.

You have complete freedom

One of the main reasons that people love solo travel so much is the freedom that comes with it. Whether it’s the freedom to choose how you spend your day, eat what you want, go where you want and even decide whether you’re going to stay in that country for a certain period of time or you’re going to move on somewhere else. The freedom that comes with solo travel is like something that you won’t find in many other areas of your life.

    1. That’s amazing. Do you consider yourself an introvert? Is that why? I myself would categorize myself as one but I can do small group travel as well.

      1. I always thought I was an extrovert but as I have aged I have become an introvert. I would manage alright in small group travel, might even consider that for my next overseas trip. I need to start saving.

What do you think? I would like to know.
